This color was inspired by Michael’s game jersey # 45 which he wore when he returned from his first retirement in 1995. What you may not know is MJ’s older brother Larry wore the #45 in high school and when MJ started playing basketball the #45 wasn’t available so he chose half of that number (22.5) or #23. Also; Michael’s hero growing up was David Thompson who wore #44. MJ always wanted to be better than David Thompson so he added 1 to David’s 44 equaling #45. Both of these stories were inspiration for our current footwear designers to create this shoe…the Air Jordan Flight 45 Hi.
